Kyle has that rare combination of ideals… musically gifted, personally engaging, and he showers on a regular basis. Since moving from Chicago to take the position of Chief Engineer at Burst HQ, he has impressed clients with the ability to morph seamlessly between post-engineer, composer, and humorous hillbilly.

Matt Smith bio photo

Matt Smith

twitter | tumblr | AIM : Japhy1953 | Jabber : smitmb(at)gmail.com

When he’s not organizing mind-numbing volumes of metadata, effortlessly crafting a biting and incisive post on the Burst Labs Blog, or churning out hit after miraculous hit, Matt enjoys thrift shopping for toy instruments and hitting things with hammers. Fun fact: He has not had a clean-shaven face since 1999.

Old Man Malcolm bio photo

Old Man Malcolm

DJ, keyboardist Old Man Malcolm has 3 Platinum records to his credit… Version 2.0 (Garbage), the self-titled Vitamin C and the Multi-Platinum Shrek soundtrack. Mark Robertson bio photo

Mark Robertson

Mark stays busy touring, writing, and producing with such a wide variety of artists and players, it’d be tough to fit them all here. A sampling : he’s played stadiums with Tim McGraw, jammed with Kid Rock and Billy Gibbons, and artists as diverse as Jello Biafra, Hank III, Robert Plant, Emmylou Harris and Mary Stuart have heaped huge amounts of praise upon the records he’s produced for his band, Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers. A fan of rockabilly and old time country, he has the coolest tattoos of any of us.

Mike Standal bio photo

Mike Standal

Jazz is only his second love. What really gets Mike’s juices flowing is a hard-to-please commercial client. He also gigs furiously with a variety of ensembles and keeps a cadre of goats for breeding (don’t ask).

Chris Mosher bio photo

Chris Mosher

When he’s not programming for Bon Jovi (no kidding) or touring with Steven Curtis Chapman (really), he finds time to write some catchy themes for our little library.

Kristian Riley bio photo

Kristian Riley

Guitarist, vocalist, cellist, producer. If you haven’t heard his name, read the liner notes on some of your favorite indie records. He’s worked with Decibully and Hollywood Records’ Scapegoat Wax, produced for New Line Cinema Records and is slated to begin a new project with Kim Deal (yeah - the former Pixie) and the Breeders in the coming weeks. The OC Season 2 featured Like You Like An Arsonist, a song he produced for Paris Texas. Oh, and did we mention he’s a former member of Citizen King and current driving force in New Sense? Half of the Shakti that is Team Bionic.

Judson Snell bio photo

Judson F Snell

Judson brings the quickest wit and sharpest tongue to our gathering - no small feat. A recording artist and DJ, he is currently serving ‘the man’ on the staff at Moosylvania in St. Louis. We overlook this character flaw and choose to focus on his immense athletic abilities. Or his dog. We may just love his dog.

Max Hsu bio photo

Max Hsu

As founding member of Superchick, Max has tasted success yet still takes our calls. Why? He’s got gear endorsements, screaming fans, a record deal, songs in movies … He’s from Chicago, but we still like him.

Jason Simanek

Jason has such an infectous fun and loving energy, it’s obvious when he’s around Burst HQ. His new band, Phoria, is destined to make a dent in the music world sometime soon.
