Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Terminator Sarah Connor blog banner

Those of you who watched the 2 hour premiere of The Sara Connor Chronicles - the hot new FOX television show based on the Terminator movie franchise - may have noticed some “bumpin’ beats” (in the teenage vernacular) during the show’s pivotal scene at a shopping mall. I know you were probably jolted from the gripping drama, thinking “who on earth made that fabulous hippy-hop?” Well, quell your wonderings, because it was us.

The track “Come And Get It” was produced by us as part of a hip hop package called Chronic Crunk for WestOne Music (a production music library distributed here in the States by APM), composed by Burst writers Old Man Malcolm and Daniel Holter, and was, quite possibly, the dramatic turning point in a show that had so very many.

Here’s the full length song featuring killer vocals by Anacron (who along with Malcolm makes up the hip hop duo The Cornrowz) :

Congrats on the music supervisor for his sublime and uncompromising taste. [ms]

Wow, dude, that’s pretty f’n ballsy. Of course, pay no mind to the artists that created the music, and the publishers and distributors that provide the music. No, the best thing to do is to figure out the path through our server to the audio file and POST IT.

Look, it’s not rocket science to read source code. Now that you got your little pathetic pat on the back for knowing exactly which drop-down menu “View Source” was in, how about you show a little f’n respect.

By the way, either you used a fake gmail address (sdf@gmail.com) or you’re going to be getting a lot of offers for German Gay Porn. There will be leather… and ball gags. [ms]

Lots of internal debate about this one (”Phil’s” comment).

It’s not clearcut and easy - we’re not claiming it is.

We certainly were impressed by the size of the balls on “Phil” to post a How To Hack This Blog comment on the very blog he’s looking to hack.

But it’s can’t go unchallenged, can it? I mean the attitude of “whatever, man, it’s not like I’m stealing anything” gets a little tiresome.

Just sayin’ it would have been great to get an email from Phil asking us for the MP3 (like we have from so many others of you - thanks!). Now if you want the tune you have the option of following Phil’s guide OR simply dropping us an email and letting us know you dig the track. Chances are we’d have our hearts softened by such selfless actions and likely send along an MP3 or three.

I had no intention of causing any issues, I know how to read source and such, as the Artist said, I would prefer a way that doesn’t piss anyone off, which is next to impossible to do nowadays on the web. What my original post should have read is “Is there a way to download this song with the consent of the artist?” Also, I only looked briefly, but I did not see a contact e-mail or anything. It is probably right in front of my face, but we are all allowed to be stupid once in a while right?

@ Dave : hey man, you didn’t create any issues at all… it’s super cool that people want the track. Seriously. We don’t take that lightly - in fact, my bad, as I should have gotten back to you sooner. Been a crazy week, but that’s no excuse.

We were torn on Phil’s posts… thought it was ballsy. Admirable. Yet kinda disturbing. That’s all.

Just realized there isn’t any contact info out here, is there? Shoot me an email : daniel at burstcollective dot com. I’ll send you the track, np.

Thanks for being so cool about the whole thing, and don’t worry about the delayed reply, we are all allowed to have busy weeks every now and then right?

This is a great track, When I watched the episode the beats just caught my attention. I wasn’t even paying attention to the show at that point. I had to rewind the episode on my DVR just to hear it again. Awesome job guys.
